Time needed: 3 minutes

In this chapter, I will show you real quick how to reset the oil indicator light on a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. This works on a 2019/2020/2021/2022 Toyota Tacoma as well. So the way you do this is:

  1. Switch the key on

First, you’re going to start up the vehicle

  2. Clear any message

Then you’ll notice when the vehicle starts, it’s going to have a message saying that maintenance is required. So you’re going to press the BACK button and that’s going to get you back to this main page

  3. Go to the ⚙️

From here i’m using the left and right arrows here to scroll over to the ⚙️ little gear

The next step is you’re going to go to SETTINGS and then to select it you’re going to press the little dot button

After that, you’re going to go up and down through this menu until you get to MAINTENANCE RESET and press the little dot button again

  6. Select YES

Now it’s going to ask you if you want to reset the maintenance reminder, so you’re going to press the dot again on YES so the maintenance reset is complete
