Howdy folks! I’m working on a 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 today. To do a service on it, and this post will be really quick on how to reset the oil light when these Mercedes-Benz GLK350 are due for this service.
It starts counting down 30 days before the service is due in five-day increments and after you do. It’ll start counting over how many days are over again and 5-day increments. So let’s go ahead and get it to reset.
How To Reset Mercedes-Benz GLK350 Oil Service Light (2010-2015)
Time needed: 3 minutes
Service light reset on a Mercedes-Benz GLK350, and in this chapter, I’m going to show you how to do that now. You don’t need a dramatic tool or even a scan tool, and you can actually do this by hand. So let’s go for it.
- Set the ignition to position 1
If you have a key you’ll insert into the ignition, do not press the brake pedal and then turn the key one click. But if you have a push start button as we do in this case, you don’t need to press the brakes just press the START once as soon as you get into the vehicle, and that powers up
- Get the trip milage screen
Once you get here on the steering wheel on the left side here press the left arrow button to get the trip and miles screen
- Hold in the CALL button and the OK button
Then you’re going to press the CALL button and one second later you want to press the OK button and then hold them together
- Go to the ASSIST PLUS
When you’re in the service menu, use the down arrow button to go to ASSIST PLUS and then press OK
- Find the FULL SERVICE
After then, you’ll be presented with two options: Service Data and Full Service, however, we will get into the FULL SERVICE
- Get into CONF FULL SERV
it will show us what services we need, but we’ll go to CONF FULL SERV
- Choose the oil grade
After that, they’ll inquire as to what kind of oil you’re using. This will determine how many kilometers in time it will take for the next service to be scheduled
- Select Yes and Confirm
Finally, you press OK on YES and then confirm once again that complete service has been provided
So that’s how you reset on this GLK350 (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 model years). To confirm that, you can turn it off and start your car at work, and you won’t see any service message after that. Cheers, folks and have a good one.
