If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. To relearn or reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor on your 2017 2018 2019 2020 Honda HR-V you must follow these steps:

  1. Make sure the vehicle is at a complete stop, the shift lever is in N (for manual transmission) or the shift lever is in P (for Automatic transmission/CVT models)

  2. Turn the engine switch off

  3. Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the door panel.

  4. Turn the engine switch to the “ON” position

  5. Select VEHICLE SETTINGS by using UP or DOWN button

  6. Press the SEL/RESET button to enter the menu

  7. Select TPMS Calibration

  8. Select CALIBRATE

  9. Calibration will complete after 30 minutes of cumulative driving at 30 to 60 mph.

On some other model:

  • Make sure the vehicle is at a complete stop, the shift lever is in N (for manual transmission) or the shift lever is in P (for Automatic transmission/CVT models)
  • Turn the engine switch off
  • Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the door panel.
  • Turn the engine switch to the “ON” position
  • Locate and press the TPMS button until the low tire pressure or TPMS indicator blinks twice.
