Note: Install or remove the timing chain while aligning the marks on each sprocket and the timing chain as shown in the figure. If the timing marks not in the position shown in the figure, rotate the camshaft and crankshaft to set the cylinder No.1 top dead center (TDC).

  1. Excellent video, I am pleased that Mazda now used a timing chain,
    as my Daughter is considering a CX-5 7seater

    My experience with an older Mazda engine with timing belt was most unpleasant, despite regular changes, put me off Mazda for a long time.
