2007-2010 Chevy Malibu Timing Marks Diagram (3.5 L V6 Engine) – The Chevrolet Malibu (named after the coastal town of Malibu, California) is an intermediary vehicle produced in the United States by General Motors (GM). The vehicle is sold in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Israel. The Chevrolet Malibu was redesigned and put on sale in 2007 as the new 2008 model. It is built on a longer version of the platform used from 2004 to 2007, the Epsilon platform, which is shared with the Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura.

The 2008 Malibu has a 2.4-liter Ecotec engine with 164 hp on LS, LT, and LTZ, while a V6 3.5-liter, 252 hp is available as an option. The transmissions are four-speed for models with a 4-cylinder engine, except the LTZ is equipped with a six-speed transmission. All V6 engines are equipped with a six-speed transmission. The Malibu Maxx will not be available with the new generation. The vehicle is designed to attract customers who had directed the Japanese intermediaries in recent years.

Align the crankshaft timing marks (1) to the timing marks on the bottom of the timing chain tensioner (2). Align the timing mark on the camshaft gear (3) with the timing mark on top of the timing chain tensioner (4).
