2005 Subaru Legacy Timing Marks Diagram (2.5l EJ25 SOHC Engine) – The Subaru Legacy is a passenger car, available in sedan and station wagon, medium-sized produced by Subaru, a subsidiary of the Japanese automaker Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI). The Legacy is marketed since 1989 around the world with the same name except in Australia where it is known as Subaru Liberty to respect Legacy Australia, an organization that helps veterans and their families during and after wars. May 23, 2003, Fuji Heavy Industries debuted the new Legacy, known as BL for sedan and station wagon for BP. The line was designed by Greek Andreas Zapatinas, head of the Subaru design from 2002 to 2006. It was marketed around the world as the model year 2004, while in the US the production will start in January 2004 for the US and Canadian markets. The new model is wider than 35 mm, longer than 40 mm, lower than 45 mm and has a wheelbase extended by 20 mm compared to the 3rd Legacy series. The traditional boxer engine was mounted 22 mm lower and 10 mm backward of the center of gravity and thus improving the weight distribution between the two axles.
