Reset Guide: Peugeot 508 Service Warning Light (2011-2021) – The Peugeot 508 is a sizeable mid-size car from Peugeot. The car came on the market in 2011, replacing both the smaller Peugeot 407 and the Peugeot 607.

Today, I will show you how to reset the service icon or the spanner symbol on the Peugeot 508. This is a regular maintenance reminder, and when you replace your filter, oil and inspect other safety systems in your car, you can reset the warning light. Depending on your vehicle generation, here are a few ways to reset the service light on Peugeot 508:
1st Generation (2011-2017)
Time needed: 3 minutes
In this first generation (2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017), you can reset the service interval using the 000 button in the cluster. Follow these step:
- Place the ignition to the off position
Make sure your vehicle is stopped in a safe place
- Press and hold the 000 button
The button is located on the cluster
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
The screen will start the countdown
- Keep press the 000 button until the countdown is complete
Release the button when the display shows “=0”
- Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
Done!
2nd Generation
Unlike previous generations, in this generation (2018 2019 2020 2021) you can reset the service interval using the buttons in the lighting control lever or wiper control lever:
2018-2019 Model Years
- Place the ignition to the off position
- Press and hold the reset button located on the end of the wiper control lever
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- The screen will start the countdown
- Keep press the reset button until the countdown is complete
- Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
2020-2021 Model Years
- Place the ignition to the off position
- Press and hold the reset button located on the end of the lighting control lever
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- The screen will start the countdown
- Keep press the reset button until the countdown is complete
- Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
