With Gas Pedal
The fastest way to reset the oil light on all Dodge car models is by pressing the gas pedal. Here’s how to get started:
- Place the ignition to the RUN position without starting the engine
- Fully depress the GAS pedal, three times within 10 seconds
- Turn off the ignition
- Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
With Steering Control
Time needed: 7 minutes
On vehicles from 2015 and above, you can reset the oil light through the instrument cluster by using the steering control button. Here’s how to do it:
- Place the ignition to the RUN position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START/STOP button twice without pressing the brake pedal
- Go to the VEHICLE INFO by using the ▼navigation button
The button is located on the steering wheel
- Scroll to the OIL LIFE menu
Use the ◄ ►navigation button to scroll
- Press and hold the OK button to execute the oil life reset
