How To Reset GMC Acadia TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor Light (2007-2010) – GMC Acadia is a full-size crossover from GM. Acadia went on sale in the United States in December 2006 and Canada in January 2007. GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave and Saturn Outlook are built on the new GM Lambda platform.
Acadia replaces three cars: GMC Safari van, GMC Envoy SUV and minivan Pontiac Montana SV6. The Acadia Denali version debuted in the third quarter of 2010 as the 2011 model year. The Acadia Denali luxury package is offered together with the Yukon Denali and the Yukon XL Denali, which in turn is the first GMC crossover with the Denali nameplate.
How To Reset GMC Acadia TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor Light (2007-2010)
Time needed: 17 minutes
If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. Follow the instructions below to reset the Tire Pressure Sensor Light on your GMC Acadia:
- Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine.
If your car equipped with ignition button, press and hold the Start/Stop button for 5 seconds without touch the brake pedal
- Press and hold unlock and lock buttons on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter for 5 seconds
The horn will sound twice indicates the receiver is in relearn mode
- Increase/ decrease tire pressure for 5 seconds, starting from the driver’s side front tire (LF)
A horn chirp confirms that the sensor identification code has been matched to this tire and wheel position.
- Repeat the procedure on the Right-Front tire, the Right Rear tire, and the last one Left Rear tire.
During the final process (Left Rear Tire) the horn will sound two times to indicate the sensor identification code has been completed and the TPMS sensor matching process is no longer active.
- Turn off the ignition
Press the Start/Stop button once
- Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the door panel.
Done!
