In this generation you can reset the engine oil by stepping on the gas and brake pedals. Only reset the system after changing the engine oil!
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START/STOP button once without pressing the brake pedal
- Depress the Brake and Accelerator pedals at the same time
Fully press both pedals for about 25 seconds
- Keep holding both pedals until a message confirming that the reset is complete appears on the screen
This message confirms that the reset procedure was completed correctly.
- Release the pedals and switch off the ignition

With Steering Control Button
Follow the steps below if your vehicle is equipped with multi-information display and control buttons on the steering wheel.
- Turn the engine switch to the “ON” position
- Find the SETTINGS menu by using the ▲▼ navigation button
- Press the menu button to display the submenu

Transit connect 2017 diesel
Both the pedal pressing method and menu method don’t work for me. Menu doesn’t have an ‘oul change reset’ option. Oil change required message still there.
