2011-2018 Ford Explorer Engineering Test Mode Guide – The Ford Explorer is an all-terrain vehicle of the F segment produced by the American manufacturer Ford Motor Company since 1990. The Explorer has longitudinal strut chassis and front longitudinal engine and is available with rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.
For this generation, the Explorer 2011 was redesigned with a monocoque chassis instead of a frame as in previous generations. It is based on the design of other vehicles such as the Edge and the Flex with the front transverse engine. It also has the new 4×4 system Terrain Management System, with which you can adjust the traction for driving on the road, mud, sand, and snow by turning a knob.
