If you receive a low-tire pressure monitor (TPM) warning light while driving and you want to clear or reset the warning light on your BMW i8, follow these instructions:

  1. Make sure the vehicle is at a complete stop

  2. Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the door panel.

  3. Turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine

  4. Press the MENU button on the iDrive controller to use i menu.

  5. Select VEHICLE INFO

  6. Select VEHICLE STATUS

  7. Next, start the engine (do not drive away)

  8. Select PERFORM RESET

  9. Confirm reset the inflation pressure by selecting “PERFORM RESET”

  10. Driving for a few miles (kilometers) and then verify that it turns off.
