Reset Guide: Peugeot 308 Spanner Service Light (2011-2021) – The Peugeot 308 is a C-segment car produced in two series since 2007 by the French car manufacturer Peugeot. The second generation of this car was introduced in 2013. In March 2014, it won the European Car of the Year award.
The second generation of the 308 presents itself with a less breaking style than the previous one. The car is based on the EMP2 modular platform, the first Peugeot brand model to use it, debuted in the second series of the Citroën C4 Picasso.

Reset Guide: Peugeot 308 Spanner Service Light (2011-2021)
If you see the service indicator blinks, it means that you have to perform maintenance service on your car. You also need to reset the service interval so you know when to do the next service. Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the service light on Peugeot 308:
1st Generation (2011-2012)
Time needed: 3 minutes
In this first generation (2011 2012), you can reset the service interval using the 🔧 000 button in the cluster. Follow these step:
- Place the ignition to the off position
Make sure your vehicle is stopped in a safe place
- Press and hold the 🔧 000 button
The button is located on the cluster
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
The screen will start the countdown
- Keep press the 🔧 000 button until the countdown is complete
Release the button when the display shows “=0”
- Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
Done!
2nd Generation (2013-2020)
- Place the ignition to the off position
- Press and hold the 000 button
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- Keep press the 000 button until the countdown is complete
- Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
3rd Generation (2021-2022)
Unlike previous generations, in this generation (2021) you can reset the service interval using the buttons in the lighting control lever:
- Place the ignition to the off position
- Press and hold the reset button located on the end of the lighting control lever
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- The screen will start the countdown
- Keep press the reset button until the countdown is complete
- Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
