With Steering Control Button
Time needed: 7 minutes
Follow the steps below if your vehicle is equipped with multi-information display and control buttons on the steering wheel.
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START STOP button twice without pressing the brake pedal
- Go to VEHICLE SETTINGS menu by pressing the i▲▼ button repeatedly and press the SEL/RESET button to select

- Find and select MAINTENANCE RESET
Use the i▲▼ button to cycle the menu and press the SEL/RESET button to select
- Select RESET to execute the oil life reset

With Cluster Button
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- Press the Select/Reset knob (located on the instrument cluster) repeatedly until “Oil Life” appears on the screen
- Press and hold the knob until the oil life light begins to be flashing
- Press and hold the knob again until the oil life percentage resets to 100%.
10th Generation (2018-2021)
The tenth generation is today’s latest models, this generation was introduced since 2018. Here’s how to reset the engine oil life on the Honda Accord tenth generation.
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- Press the HOME button
- Use the Left Selector Wheel button to find menu
- Select MAINTENANCE menu
- Press and hold the Left Selector Wheel until reset mode appears on the screen
- Scroll down to select a maintenance item to reset, or select All Due Items
- Press the Left Selector Wheel to execute the oil reset
