Time needed: 7 minutes

Follow the steps below if your vehicle is equipped with multi-information display and control buttons on the steering wheel.

  1. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START STOP button twice without pressing the brake pedal

  2. Go to VEHICLE SETTINGS menu by pressing the i▲▼ button repeatedly and press the SEL/RESET button to select

  3. Find and select MAINTENANCE RESET

    Use the i▲▼ button to cycle the menu and press the SEL/RESET button to select

  4. Select RESET to execute the oil life reset

    Done!

With Cluster Button

  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the Select/Reset knob (located on the instrument cluster) repeatedly until “Oil Life” appears on the screen
  • Press and hold the knob until the oil life light begins to be flashing
  • Press and hold the knob again until the oil life percentage resets to 100%.

10th Generation (2018-2021)

The tenth generation is today’s latest models, this generation was introduced since 2018. Here’s how to reset the engine oil life on the Honda Accord tenth generation.

  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the HOME button
  • Use the Left Selector Wheel button to find menu
