When the preset service period arrives, the wrench indicator light will appear in the cluster. This indicator system must be reset after performed an oil change or maintenance on your vehicle. Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the oil light on 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 Mazda 2:

With Trip Button

  • Turn OFF the ignition and hold down the TRIP button

  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Keep press the TRIP button until master warning light blinks for a few seconds
  • Turn off the ignition
  • Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine

With Infotainment Display

Time needed: 7 minutes

In this fourth generation, you can reset the service interval via the infotainment menu. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Place the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START/STOP button twice without pressing the brake pedal

  2. Select the on the screen to display APPLICATION menu

    Use the control button on the center console or tap the screen if equipped with the touchscreen

  3. Go to VEHICLE STATUS MONITOR

    Use the commander knob to scroll and press the knob to select the menu

  4. Select MAINTENANCE

    Scheduled, Tire Rotation, and Oil Change menu will appears in the display

  6. You can set an service reminder at a specific interval by adjust TIME or DISTANCE or select RESET on this menu
