Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the oil light on 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 Mazda 2:
With Trip Button
- Turn OFF the ignition and hold down the TRIP button
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
- Keep press the TRIP button until master warning light blinks for a few seconds
- Turn off the ignition
- Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
With Infotainment Display
Time needed: 7 minutes
In this fourth generation, you can reset the service interval via the infotainment menu. Here’s how to get started:
- Place the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START/STOP button twice without pressing the brake pedal
- Select the on the screen to display APPLICATION menu
Use the control button on the center console or tap the screen if equipped with the touchscreen
- Go to VEHICLE STATUS MONITOR
Use the commander knob to scroll and press the knob to select the menu
- Select MAINTENANCE
Scheduled, Tire Rotation, and Oil Change menu will appears in the display
- Select SCHEDULED or MAINTENANCE
Several options will appear on the screen
- You can set an service reminder at a specific interval by adjust TIME or DISTANCE or select RESET on this menu
