How To Reset Lincoln MKZ TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor Light – The MKZ is a mid-size luxury car produced by Lincoln since 2006 exclusively in the four-door sedan version. It is placed at the base of the American car manufacturer’s offer. It came into production on 1 August 2005 for the model year 2006. Initially, the car was named Lincoln Zephyr. This first name was however preserved only in the first model year of production.

If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. For that you need to purchase the correct TPMS reset tool and follow these instructions:

  1. Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn the engine switch off and engage the parking brake.

  2. Press and release the brake pedal.

  3. Turn the ignition from OFF to ON position three (3) times ending in the on position without starting the engine.

    If your car has a Smart key button, press once to turn on, then press again to put the vehicle into ACC mode, then press again to turn the vehicle off. Repeat 2 more times, ending in ACC mode.

  4. Press the brake pedal again for 2 seconds, then release.

  5. Turn the ignition to OFF position (DO NOT remove the key)

  6. Turn the ignition from OFF to ON position three (3) times ending in the on position without starting the engine.

  7. If the reset mode has been entered successfully, the horn will sound once.

  8. Starting from the driver’s side front tire, place the relearn tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor.

  9. Repeat the procedure on the right-front tire, the right rear tire, and the last one left rear tire.

  10. A horn chirp confirms that the sensor identification code has been matched to this tire and wheel position.

  11. After hearing the confirming horn chirp for the left rear tire, training is completed and a message is shown in the information display. Turn ignition to OFF position. Adjust all tires to pressure listed on the tire placard.

  1. I suddenly have a low tire pressure warning, but my tires look perfect. Also in the gas level area , I have an exclamation point in a horseshoe symbol. I drove the car without any issue,. What’s going on? Also, the driver and passenger front windows rolled down, without my assistance!
