Did you get a Change Oil Soon or Oil Change Required message on your 2007 2008 2009 2010 Mercury Mountaineer? This means you must immediately perform oil change on your vehicle. Don’t forget to reset the oil minder system afterward. Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the oil life light.
- Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
Make sure the vehicle completely stops
- Press the SETUP button briefly until “PRESS RESET TO BEGIN SYSTEM CHECK” appears on the screen
The button is located on the instrument panel
- Press RESET button
OIL % OIL LIFE OK will be displayed
- Press the RESET button again
HOLD RESET IF NEW OIL message will appears on the display
- Press and hold the RESET button again to reset oil life to 100%
