2011-2020 Nissan Almera Maintenance Oil Light Reset Guide – The Nissan Almera is a C-segment passenger car produced by the Japanese manufacturer Nissan since 1978. It is a five-seater with a front engine and front or four-wheel drive.

In the European market, it was a compact class sedan, marketed in the rest of the world with different names depending on the destination markets. In October 2011, Nissan launched a revised model of the Latio as the Almera in Thailand.

2011-2020 Nissan Almera Maintenance Oil Light Reset Guide

When the engine oil exceed the specified service interval, the maintenance reminder light will appear on the display. You should perform an oil change and reset the system. Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the oil light on 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 Nissan Almera:

3rd Generation (2011-2018)

Time needed: 7 minutes

The third generation of Nissan Almera was marketed from 2011 to 2018. Here is how to reset the wrench light:

  1. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START STOP button two times without depressing the brake pedal

  2. As soon as the symbol appears, press and hold the TRIP button until light blinks

    The button is located on the instrument cluster

  3. Press the TRIP button briefly to increase the interval distance

    Each press increases the interval distance by 1,000 km (500 miles)

  4. Wait until light stop blinks

    The display will returns to the previous mode and the new interval is set

  5. Turn off the ignition and then start the engine to verify the maintenance minder light has been reset

    Done!

4th Generation (2019-2021)

The fourth generation is today’s latest models, this generation was introduced since 2019. Here’s how to reset the maintenance oil light on the latest generation of Nissan Almera:

  • Press the ENGINE START STOP button once without depressing the brake pedal
  • Go to the SETTINGS menu by using the ◄ ► navigation button
  • Scroll down to the MAINTENANCE by using the ▲▼ navigation button and press OK button to enter
  • Select OIL AND FILTER
  • You can set an engine oil reminder at a specific interval or select RESET on this menu
  • When a confirmation message appears, select YES to execute the oil reset
