The Lexus GS is an upper-middle-class 3-volume sedan introduced by the Japanese carmaker Lexus in 1991 and produced over four generations. So do you want to reset the maintenance required warning light on your Lexus GS after changing the engine oil?

Lexus GS: How To Reset Oil Maintenance Required Light (2007-2020)
For 2007-2011 (GS350 GS430 GS460)
We just changed the oil on the Lexus GS430, so as you can see it needs the oil maintenance reset. FYI we’re gonna be using the button inside PUSH button on the left-side of the dash to do it. Check this out!
- Turn on your car without starting
- Use the ODO/TRIP button to cycle through until it’s on the ODO
- Now turn off your car
- At the same time press and hold the RESET button and press the start button twice to get it to the on position again
- Now it will say oil mileage reset and at that point you are finished
For 2013-2015 (GS350 GS450H)
Time needed: 3 minutes
In order to set reset the maintenance light on your Lexus GS 350 the first thing you should to do is:
- Turn on your car without starting
Hit the start button twice with foot off the brake pedal
- Ensure you’re in TRIP A
Look at your cluster and make sure it’s set to the TRIP A, and in order to cycle through all you do is just hit the ODO/TRIP button
- Turn off the car
Then once you get it to TRIP A go ahead and hit the start button once turn everything off
- Hold down the ODO/TRIP button while turn on the car again
Next, what you’re going to do is you’re going to hold down the ODO/TRIP button you’re going to keep that held down while simultaneously pressing the start button twice
- Keep hold the ODO/TRIP button
Continue to hold down the ODO/TRIP button and as you can see it’s saying resetting maintenance data
For 2016-2020 (GS350 GSF GS200t)
Here in a 2020 Lexus GS350 F Sport and i’m gonna show you how to reset the service indicator or oil maintenance indicator. The first thing you need to do is:
- Put the ignition on but don’t turn the engine on
- Use the navigation button to scroll to the right until you see the ⚙️ cog wheel
- Once we have the cogwheel up we’re going to select VEHICLE SETTINGS by pressing the center button
- Now if you did the proper service you’re gonna do a select SCHEDULE MAINTENANCE
- Then it’s gonna ask you “Reset Data?”, select YES to reset
Also, if you do your oil reset, you have to remember scheduled maintenance is a little different than Oil Maintenance. The oil change should be done, in my opinion, about every five to seven thousand but make sure to go to your scheduled maintenance.
So that’s it. If you have any questions shoot us an comment or email we try to answered the best we can. Thanks for reading!
