2008-2020 GMC Savana TPMS Light Low Tire Pressure System Reset – The Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanna are commercial vehicles of Chevrolet and GMC American manufacturers. This is the rival of the Ford E-Series. The model is produced in different bodies (paneled, glazed, long and short) from 1996 through two generations and distributed primarily on the North American market.

In reality, the second generation of 2003 is a restyling of the 1996 Express This model is still offered, though Chevrolet offers a version of the Nissan NV200 as a smaller model. The Express / Savana is also available in the version for passengers with 8 to 15 seats (depending on model). Its base is often used in converting RV. The Express and Savana currently have 44.8% of the market of large vans in the United States.

2008-2020 GMC Savana TPMS Light Low Tire Pressure System Reset:

To relearn or reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light on your older GMC Savana (2008-2011 model years), follow these steps:

  • Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn the engine switch off and engage the parking brake.
  • Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine.
  • Press and hold unlock and lock buttons on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter until horn sounds
  • If your vehicle does not have the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter
    • Press the VEHICLE INFO button briefly until PRESS TO RELEARN TIRE POSITIONS appears on the display
    • Press and hold button
    • The horn sounds twice to signal the receiver is in relearn mode
  • Increase/ decrease tire pressure for 10 seconds, starting from the driver’s side front tire (LF) until horn sounds.
  • After horn sounds, proceed to the right (passenger’s side) front tire, and repeat the procedure in step 3.
  • Next, proceed as in step 3 for the right (passenger’s side) rear tire and then left (driver’s side) rear tire.
  • After hearing the confirming horn chirp for the left rear tire, turn the ignition to the OFF position. Adjust all tires to pressure listed on the tire placard.

For 2012-2020 Models:

Time needed: 17 minutes

If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. To relearn or reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor on your GMC Savana (2012-2020) you must have a TPMS relearn tool and follow these steps:

  1. Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn the engine switch off and engage the parking brake.

  2. Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine.

  3. Press and hold unlock and lock buttons on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter until horn sounds

  4. If your vehicle does not have the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter

    Press the VEHICLE INFO button briefly until PRESS TO RELEARN TIRE POSITIONS appears on the display
    Press and hold button
    The horn sounds twice to signal the receiver is in relearn mode

  5. Starting from the driver’s side front tire, place the relearn tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor.

  6. Repeat the procedure on the right-front tire, the right rear tire, and the last one left rear tire.

  7. A horn chirp confirms that the sensor identification code has been matched to this tire and wheel position.

  8. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

  9. Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the door panel.
