Hello folks! I’ve got a 2007 Chevy Express with a 4.8 engine. This is a Chevrolet Express cargo van, and today I’m going to show you how you reset the oil change light on this car. So basically, the light I’m talking about is when I turn the car on, the spanner and oil can light will come up on the dash.
So if you guys have a Chevrolet Express from the year 2004 to the present, you guys have that annoying message that you need to change your engine oil soon. Stay with us, guys, and we’ll explain how to get rid of that.

This tutorial will hold true for the first generation of the Chevrolet Express Vans (2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 model years).
Time needed: 3 minutes
So this is another way to set the oil life in a Chevrolet Express, as well. This time, we’ll use the DIC button on the left side of the screen. So let’s get into this car to try to do it.
Take the key and turn it to the on position without cranking up the engine
So now we’ll go ahead and go into our Oil Life. So if we come to the dash and this third one it has a picture of the car with an i. You need to press that until you get to the Oil Life screen
Now to go ahead and reset this we’ll hold the ✓ checkmark button and while holding it we’ll actually see the oil life go back up to a hundred percent and you’re done
So that’s how you reset on this car. If it does not work because you have to do this multiple times, the computer might not have its kind of flimsy the way it works, but keep trying it. Thanks for reading, and be safe.
