2019-2021 VW Volkswagen Touareg TPMS Light Tire Pressure Sensor Reset – The third series of the German SUV is officially presented on March 23, 2018, at the Beijing motor show. With the production release of the Volkswagen Phaeton, the Touareg becomes the new flagship of the Wolfsburg house it has the Group’s MLB Evo platform also used on the Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne and Lamborghini Urus which provides the use of aluminum which significantly reduces the weight of the car.

At launch, they are present as two engines turbodiesel engines 3.0 V6 TDI 231 and 286 hp. Following the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the eight-cylinder version called Touareg V8 is presented, which delivers 421 hp and 900 Nm of torque for a 0-100 in 4.9 seconds and a maximum speed limited to 250 km/h.

If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. Follow these steps to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor on your Volkswagen Touareg:

  1. Make sure the vehicle is at a complete stop

    Turn the engine switch off

  2. Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard

    The tire placard located on the driver’s door panel

  3. Turn the ignition to the ON position

    Don’t start the engine

  4. Press the CAR button

    The button is located on the audio display

  5. Tap SETTINGS or SETUP on the touchscreen to enter the Vehicle Settings menu

    The menu is in the lower right corner

  6. Select TIRES

    Tap the touchscreen to select

  7. Select SET

    Tap the touchscreen to select

  8. When a confirmation message appears on the display, select CONFIRM to store the tire pressure

    Done!
