2020 Toyota Highlander Tire Pressure System TPMS Light Reset – The fourth-generation Toyota Highlander debuted at the New York Motor Show in April 2019. The aggressive trapezoidal grille has been replaced by a hexagon like the new Toyota RAV4. Highlander first got the 20-inch wheels.

The car was built on the TNGA GA-K (McPherson plus multi-lever) platform, grew in size and improved in all directions. It can seat seven or eight people on three rows of seats as before. The choice of powertrains was reduced to two variants – either the V6 3.5 (299 hp, 357 Nm) or the gas-electric unit with a naturally aspirated “four” 2.5 and two electric motors (243 hp).

If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. Follow these steps to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light on your Toyota Highlander:

  1. Stop the vehicle in a safe place and engage the parking brake.

    Turn OFF the engine

  2. Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard

  3. Turn the engine switch to the “ON” position

    If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START STOP button twice without pressing the brake pedal

  4. Select the  by using navigation button

    The button is located on the steering

  5. Go to the VEHICLE SETTINGS menu

    This menu has symbols like the following image:

  6. Scroll to TPWS (Tire Pressure Warning System)

    Press the OK button to select the menu

  7. Select SET PRESSURE then press and hold the OK button until the tire pressure warning light blinks 3 times.

    When the message disappears, initialization is complete.

  8. The inflation pressure of each tire will display on the multi-information display after 30 minutes of cumulative driving at 25 mph (40 km/h)
