  • We have a 2013 Honda SUV and we have our winter tire on a set of different wheels complete their own TPSM wheel monitors. So when we change the wheels twice a year then we have to take the car to the Honda dealer and they are going to start charging $30. to reset TPSM. If it requires me to reset my own and I do not require a computer to do it, I would think it should be possible to do my own.

  • Hi there:
I have an Honda Accord EX-L 2015 which comes with 17' wheel. I purchased the set of 4 wheels of 18' (sport) and want to install it. My question is, how do I calibrate the new tire with the wheel? I heard 2015 models didn't came with the TPMS in the valve. Please help! Thanks!

  • This might be true for the newer 2013 - 2015 Accords, which are using the indirect TPMS system. The 2012 Accord does not have a menu or a button for calibration, as it has a TPMS sensor in each rim. You need a special device (which is $2000-$3000) to reset and initialize the TPMS system after installing new sensors. And if you have winter tires with sensors, you need to do that every time you switch between winter and all season tires.

  • I have 2011 accord which does have tpms system but don't have calibration/tpms reset feature.. What to do advise

    • just properly inflate tires, and drive. the TPMS light will go away.

It only comes on when a tire is under-inflated.

      • Not true - light will not go out all tires including spare are calibrated to right tp - tried disconnecting battery - light still on

    • I have the 2012 Honda Accord Se, and the TPMS system light comes on at various ti,es, for as little as 1 mile, or as many as 500. The dealer says this cannot be fixed (after I had the tire sensors replaced with he expensive Honda ones).
My issue is that when roads are slippery, I sometimes need to disengage the traction control in order to accelerate by spinning the tires. Trust me, it is quicker than having the Traction Control engaged. The trouble is you cannot disengage it when the TPMS failure light is on, the systems are connected. Honda motors apparently has no fix, and will not turn off the system (they say it makes it unsafe- WHat do you think it is now?!?!)
