2005-2007 Ford Five Hundred 500 Fuel Inertia Switch Location – The Ford Five Hundred (factory code name: D258) is a truck manufactured by Ford Motor Company between July 2004 and April 2007 in Chicago, Illinois. Five Hundred was named after the legendary models of the 1950s and 1970s, the Fairlane 500 and the Galaxie 500.

In 2007, Ford introduced the Five Hundred serious model is an upgraded version of the North American International Auto Show, but then the factory was renamed Ford Taurus (which became the Taurus fifth generation) and has been featured by that name at the 2007 Chicago Auto Show. This car received a new, 3.5 liter, 263 hp (196 kW) V6 engine and changed its design.

The fuel pump shut-off (inertia) switch is a device that stops the fuel pump of the fuel delivery to the engine. If your engine cranks but does not start, this switch may have been activated. Here’s how to find and reset the switch:

  1. On the 2005-2007 Ford Five Hundred, the fuel pump shut-off switch is located in the front passenger footwell area in the right upper corner. May you need to remove the lower scuff plate to access the switch.

  2. Make sure to turn off your vehicle

  3. Pushing in the Fuel pump shut-off (inertia) switch

  4. Turn the ignition to the ON position (Do not turn the ignition to ‘START) and wait a few seconds and return the key to off position.
