The easiest way to reset the oil light on the Dodge Nitro is by pressing the gas pedal. Here’s how to get started:
- Place the ignition to the RUN position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START/STOP button twice without pressing the brake pedal
- Fully depress the GAS pedal, three times within 10 seconds
Don’t rush, make sure you press it fully
- Turn off the ignition
Press the ENGINE START/STOP button once
- Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
