2002 Chevy Monte Carlo TPMS Low Tire Pressure Light Reset – Monte Carlo is a Chevrolet car from 1970 to 1988 and from 1995 to 2007. In 2000, to inspire the design of the new model series, Chevrolet did not name just General Motors Motorsport, but it was also based on Monte Carlo in the past. If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. To relearn, turning off or reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light on your 2002 2003 2004 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo, follow these steps:
- Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn the engine switch off and engage the parking brake.
- Adjust all tires to pressure listed on the tire placard.
- Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine and turn the radio off.
- Press and hold the TUNE DISP button until SETTINGS is displayed
- Scroll up and select “TIRE MON” by using SEEK PSCAN up or down arrow button
- Press the 1 PREV or 2 NEXT buttons until RESET is displayed
- When a message requesting acceptance of the process appears, press the TUNE DISP button to confirm
- The horn will be heard to signal the receiver is in relearn mode
- Once the monitor has been reset, scroll until EXIT appears on the display.
- Press the TUNE DISP button to exit the menu
- Driving for a few miles (kilometers), calibration will complete after 2 minutes of cumulative driving at 20 mph (32 km/h).
- Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
