Audi A1: How To Reset Service Due Light After Oil Change (2010-2021) – The Audi A1 (internal project name Typ 8X) is a compact hatchback of the B segment, produced by the German car manufacturer Audi since 2010. Sales of the first model began in Europe in the summer of 2010.

The engines available at launch were the 122 bhp 1.4 TFSI version with emissions at 122 g/km and 119 g/km and the 105 bhp 1.6 TDI. In the summer of 2010, the 86 bhp 1.2 TFSI was introduced. In December 2010, the sports variant of the 1.4 TFSI was launched, with an output of 185 hp, an S-Tronic gearbox.

Audi A1: How To Reset Service Due Light After Oil Change (2010-2021)

The inspection or service reminder message will appears in the display after driving a certain distance. You need perform an oil change and reset the system interval. Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the service light on Audi A1:

1st Generation (2010-2018)

Time needed: 7 minutes

In this first generation (2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018), you can access service intervals via a multimedia display to reset oil change. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine.

    If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START STOP button without pressing the brake pedal

  2. Press the CAR button

    The button is located on the center console

  3. Select CAR SYSTEM or SYSTEM menu

    Skip this menu step if it doesn’t appear on the screen

  4. Select SERVICE & CHECKS

    Use the dial control to scroll and select the menu

  5. Select SERVICE INTERVAL DISPLAY

    The remaining service interval will appears on the screen

  6. Scroll down and select RESET OIL CHANGE INTERVAL

    A confirmation display will appears on the display

  7. Select YES to execute the service interval reset

    Done!

2nd Generation (2019-2021)

Just like the previous generation, you can reset the service interval via MMI, but this latest generation (2019 2020 2021) is equipped with a touchscreen:

  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • From the main menu tap the VEHICLE or CAR menu on the touchscreen
  • Select SETTINGS & SERVICE
  • Select SERVICE INTERVAL
  • Select RESET OIL CHANGE INTERVAL
  • Select YES to execute the service interval reset

This procedure should apply to the first and second generations of the Audi A1 (2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 model years).
