2006-2018 Audi A3 Timing Marks Diagram (2.0L 1.8L Engine) – The third series debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012 to be available for sale a few months later. Compared to the previous model, the dimensions are slightly larger, however, the weight has been reduced from 40 kg up to 80 kg compared to the old series. All A3 engines are equipped with a turbocharger.

The Audi A3 is the first car of the Volkswagen Group based on the new MQB platform. This base was developed to be used for all Group vehicles with the transverse front-engine, apart from the category of cars. The front suspensions are of MacPherson type while at the rear uses multi-link suspensions.

TSI (abbreviation for Twincharged Stratified Injection or Turbocharged Stratified Injection) is an engine technology used in Volkswagen gasoline engines. The same technology is called TFSI at Audi. The technology originally consisted of direct injection, mechanically driven compressor and exhaust-driven turbo. The TSI engine won the award for the best new engine in 2006.
