How did you manage to remove the timing chain cover off. We removed all bolts front and bottom. We managed to get it seperated from the top part. It just seems that something is grabbing on from the bottom. HELP!!!!
7me too it seemsas thougb something isgrsbbingit in the botyom right corner
Also there’s at least 2 bolts in the middle of the cover about 5/8 of the way up from the bottom where the timing cover meets the balancer cover/ oil pan. The 2 bolts are where the top timing cover separates from the main timing cover. Then if you need to take the main front timing cover off there’s a few bolts inside behind the upper timing cover. There’s a lot of hidden bolts on this thing. I’m hoping this helps someone again I’m not a mechanic but I’ve done this a few times on different makes and have done this make and model but it’s been awhile
I believe you have to remove the oil pan and get underneath and look up inside where the balancer is and there’s 1 or 2 bolts hidden in there. If not it’s probably just a guide pin and you need to bring the cover out straight and even all the way around so the pin doesn’t bind up. Hopefully this helps I’m not a mechanic but I have done this before on a couple deferent makes of vehicles and yes a 2004 Nissan Altima 2.5 liter was one. It’s been awhile though good luck
