How To Reset GMC Envoy TPMS Low Tire Pressure Sensor Light

How To Reset GMC Envoy TPMS Low Tire Pressure Sensor Light – The GMC Envoy is an SUV produced by the American GMC since 1998 and originally presented as a luxurious version of another vehicle of the brand, the Jimmy. Since its release, the Envoy has been redesigned several times. The main development for 2006, the Envoys received a stability control system called Stability Track. Small modification, the power of the engine is increased to 291 horses. In all likelihood, the Envoy should disappear from the catalog by 2010 to be replaced by the Terrain, which is still itself a luxurious version of another vehicle, the Chevrolet Equinox.

The Envoy XL is an enlarged version of forty centimeters in length and has, among other things, a new row of seats. The production of this model will be stopped in 2006. Rumor has it that the revision of the GMC Yukon led to the end of this version of the Envoy. The XUV version results from the idea of crossing the Envoy with a pick-up. The rear part has been enlarged and can be discovered thanks to the presence of a retractable roof.

If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. To relearn, turning off or reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light on your 2008 2009 GMC Envoy, follow these steps:

  1. Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn the ignition switch to RUN with the engine off and engage the parking brake.

  2. Turn headlight switch from OFF to parking lamps 4 times within three seconds. A double horn chirp will sound and the SERVICE TIRE MONITOR message will be displayed on the Driver Information Center (DIC) to indicate the learn mode is enabled.

  3. Increase/ decrease tire pressure for 10 seconds, starting from the driver’s side front tire (LF) until horn sounds.

  4. After horn sounds, proceed to the right (passenger’s side) front tire, and repeat the procedure in step 3.

  5. Next, proceed as in step 3 for the right (passenger’s side) rear tire and then left (driver’s side) rear tire.

  6. After hearing the confirming horn chirp for the left rear tire, turn the ignition to the OFF position. Adjust all tires to pressure listed on the tire placard.

  • After I had my tires rotated on my 2008 gmc Envoy the Tpms light came on. Gmc tried to reset the sensors and the horn wouldn’t beep on the right front tire after then using there reset tool. They said there were 3 bad sensors. They replaced them but still same problem. I went to an independent tire dealer and they said the sensors were reading ok but not communicating with the on board computer. So I disconnected the battery for an hour and then reconnected it. It recognized the right front but still not the sensors on the rear tires. Do you have anything else for me to try. I believe the new sensors are all fine since the hand held scanner reads them. Do you have any advice.
