How To Reset Subaru Ascent Oil Light Maintenance Minder (2019-2021)

Time needed: 7 minutes

When the preset maintenance period arrives, a notification screen will be displayed. You must change the corresponding maintenance item’s setting after performing an oil change or maintenance on your vehicle. Here is how to reset the maintenance light on the Subaru Ascent:

1. Place the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine

   If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START/STOP button twice without pressing the brake pedal
2. Go to the SETTINGS screen by using the ▲ or ▼ button

   The button is located on the instrument panel
   

3. Hold down the ENTER or VIEW/⏎ button to enter the menu

   Press and hold the button for 3 seconds

4. Select MAINTENANCE

   Use the ▲ or ▼ button to scroll and press ENTER to select

5. Select MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE or ENGINE OIL

   In this menu you can set a maintenance reminder at a specific interval by adjust the Notification Date or Notification Distance

6. Select SET when you finish setting up

   Done!
