How To Reset Service Light on Peugeot 208 (2012-2021) – The first generation of the Peugeot 208, a low-end passenger car produced by the French car manufacturer Peugeot, was produced from 2012 to 2019. Production started in early 2012 at the French plants in Mulhouse and Poissy and Trnava, Slovakia.

The first generation of the 208 production ends in 2019 at the Trnava plant and in 2020 at the Poissy plant, from where the last units come out in September. The next generation (2019) no longer be produced in France.

How To Reset Service Light on Peugeot 208 (2012-2021)

If you see the service indicator blinks, it means that you have to perform maintenance service on your car. You also need to reset the service interval so you know when to do the next service. Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the service light on Peugeot 208:

1st Generation (2012-2018)

Time needed: 3 minutes

In this first generation (2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018), you can reset the service interval using the Trip button in the cluster. Follow these step:

  1. Place the ignition to the off position

    Make sure your vehicle is stopped in a safe place

  2. Press and hold the ? 000 button

    The button is located on the cluster

  3. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine

    The screen will start the countdown

  4. Keep press the ? 000 button until the countdown is complete

    Release the button when the display shows “=0”

  5. Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine

    Done!

2nd Generation (2019-2021)

Unlike previous generations, in this generation (2019 2020 2021) you can reset the service interval using the buttons in the lighting control lever:

  • Place the ignition to the off position
  • Press and hold the reset button located on the end of the lighting control lever
  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • The screen will start the countdown
  • Keep press the reset button until the countdown is complete
  • Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine
