2009-2021 Nissan Rogue: How To Reset Maintenance Oil Light – The Nissan Rogue is a compact SUV produced by the Japanese car manufacturer Nissan Motor since 2007. In 2013 the second series was presented. This car is a specific model for the North American market.

1st Generation S35 (2009-2013)

Time needed: 7 minutes

The first generation of Nissan Rogue was marketed from 2007 to 2013. In this generation you can reset the maintenance light using the cluster button. Here is how to reset the maintenance engine oil light on the Nissan Rogue:

  1. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has the keyless starting system, press the ENGINE START STOP button two times without depressing the brake pedal

  2. Go to SETTINGS mode by pressing the ❏ knob repeatedly

    The button is located on the instrument cluster

  3. In the setting mode screen press and hold the ❏ knob to enter the menu

    Press and hold the ❏ knob for 3 seconds

  4. Select MAINTENANCE menu

    Rotate the ❏ knob to scroll and press the ❏ knob to select the menu

  5. Select SERVICE

    Rotate the ❏ knob to scroll and press the ❏ knob to select the menu

  6. You can select RESET or set the distance for service due in this menu

    Done!

2nd Generation T32 (2014-2020)

The second generation of Nissan Rogue was marketed from 2014 to 2020. There are two ways to reset the maintenance light in this generation. Depending on your vehicle model year, here are how to reset the maintenance engine oil light on the Nissan Rogue:

With Steering Control 1

  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Go to the SETTINGS menu by pressing the ❏ button repeatedly
  • In the setting menu screen use the joystick to scroll to MAINTENANCE menu
  • Push the ENTER button to select the menu
  • Select OIL AND FILTER
  • Select RESET
  • When a confirmation message appears, select YES to execute the oil reset

With Steering Control 2

  • Press the ENGINE START STOP button once without depressing the brake pedal
  • Go to the SETTINGS menu by using the ◄ ► navigation button
  • Scroll down to the MAINTENANCE by using the ▲▼ navigation button and press OK button to enter
  • Select OIL AND FILTER
  • Select RESET
  • When a confirmation message appears, select YES to execute the oil reset

3rd Generation T33 (2021)

The third generation is today’s latest models, this generation was introduced since September 22, 2020. Here’s how to reset the maintenance oil light on the latest generation of Nissan Rogue:

  • Press the ENGINE START STOP button once without depressing the brake pedal
  • Go to the SETTINGS menu by using the ◄ ► navigation button
  • Scroll down to the MAINTENANCE by scroll the thumbwheel and press OK to enter
  • Select OIL CONTROL SYSTEM
  • Select RESET
  • When a confirmation message appears, select YES to execute the oil reset
