2011-2016 Ford Focus TPMS Light Low Tire Pressure Sensor Reset – At the Essen Motor Show 2015 Event in Germany, Ford introduced the Focus Sport premiered. If you receive a low-tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light while driving and you want to clear or turning off the warning light on your 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 Ford Focus, follow these instructions:

  • Make sure the vehicle is at a complete stop
  • Turn the engine switch off
  • Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the door panel.
  • Driving for a few miles (kilometers), calibration will complete after 2 minutes of cumulative driving at 20 mph (32 km/h).

Time needed: 17 minutes

If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. For that you need to purchase the correct TPMS reset tool and follow these instructions:

  1. Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn the engine switch off and engage the parking brake.

  2. Adjust the tire inflation pressure recommended on the tire placard located on the door panel.

  3. Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine.

  4. Turn the hazard flashers ON then OFF 6 times within 5 seconds.

  5. If the reset mode has been entered successfully, the horn will sound once.

  6. Decrease tire pressure for 10 seconds, starting from the driver’s side front tire (LF) until horn sounds.

  7. After horn sounds, proceed to the right (passenger’s side) front tire, and repeat the procedure in step 5.

  8. Next, proceed as in step 5 for the right (passenger’s side) rear tire and then left (driver’s side) rear tire.

  9. After hearing the confirming horn chirp for the left rear tire, training is completed and a message is shown in the information display. Turn ignition to OFF position.

  • OK I have a 2016 focus se the tire pressure is bout 32 in each tire recomened is 36 OK that's bout 4 pounds low and no tpms light comes on is it a certain low pressure before the tpms shows
