2010 Chevy Cobalt TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System Reset – Chevrolet Cobalt is a compact car created by Chevrolet in 2004 based on Opel Astra. It is produced up to 2010 both in the sedan and in the coupe and replaces the Cavalier and Prizm’s in the US car catalog. It was only marketed on the North American market and was replaced with the Cruze, a model intended for various markets, including the European one.

The SS Supercharged was the high-performance version of Cobalt. The steel body was upgraded with a new rear spoiler and a new front air intake while the interior was made more sporty with the introduction of new pedals and other accessories. Like a propeller, the car used an Ecotec 2.0 SC from 205 hp with 272 Nm torque. It was operated by a five-speed FGP manual gearbox, while the braking system was comprised of four disc brakes combined with an ABS system.

2010 Chevy Cobalt TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System Reset:

Time needed: 17 minutes

If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. To relearn or reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor on your 2008 2009 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, follow these steps:

  1. Stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn the engine switch off and engage the parking brake.

  2. Turn the ignition to position On without starting the engine.

  3. Press and hold unlock and lock buttons on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter until horn sounds

  4. If your vehicle does not have the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter

    Press the INFO and Set/Reset buttons at the same time
    Scroll up and select “Tire Pressure Menu”
    Press the SET/CLR button
    The horn sounds twice to signal the receiver is in relearn mode

  5. Increase/ decrease tire pressure for 10 seconds, starting from the driver’s side front tire (LF) until horn sounds.

  6. After horn sounds, proceed to the right (passenger’s side) front tire, and repeat the procedure in step 3.

  7. Next, proceed as in step 3 for the right (passenger’s side) rear tire and then left (driver’s side) rear tire.

  8. After hearing the confirming horn chirp for the left rear tire, turn the ignition to the OFF position. Adjust all tires to pressure listed on the tire placard.
