2002-2010 Chevy Aveo Timing Marks Diagram (1.6 L Engine) – The Chevrolet Aveo is a small car belonging to General Motors brand Chevrolet. It came in mid-2006 as a saloon and early 2008 hatchback on the market. The second variant is the successor of the Chevrolet Kalos. The Aveo was from the summer of 2006 from GM Daewoo as a successor to the Chevrolet Kalos respectively.

Daewoo Kalos initially introduced as a four-door notchback sedan. The beginning of 2008 was followed by the three or five-door hatchback models. The car was in the US as a Pontiac G3 markets (up to the attitude of the brand in late 2009) and in Australia as Holden Barina. In South Korea, the car initially continued, later called Daewoo Kalos or Daewoo Gentra.

Note: Align the timing mark on the crankshaft gear to the timing mark on the bottom of the rear timing belt cover. Ensure that the exhaust camshaft gear dowel pin is approximately in the 11 o’clock position, and align the timing marks on the camshaft gears.

  • On my 2007 chevy aveo i recently had to replace the water pump i ran into the problem of getting it back into time duebto too many marks on top 2 sprockets what can i do to correctly put the car back into timing?

  • Read above page wear it speaks of setting the exhaust cam gear dow to 11 o'clock and then the Mark's should all line together as long as you set your cam and intake Mark's together first
