2020-2021 Buick Encore GX Brake Pad Life System Light Reset – Unlike the smaller Encore II, Buick Encore GX is not exclusively designed for the Chinese market. In November 2019, the LA Auto Show featured a version for the US and Canadian markets that went on sale from early 2020. Regardless of the market, Encore GX is exported from the Korean GM-Korea factory in Inczon.
The vehicle is being built at GM Korea’s Bupyeong plant for the North American market. The SAIC-GM plant in Dong Yue South is responsible for the Chinese market. Engines for the North American market will be built in the Mexican GM plant, Ramos Arizpe.

When the brake pads need to be replaced, a minder message along with a percentage for each axle will appear on the display. The system must be reset after the brake pads are changed. Follow the instructions below to reset the Brake Pad Life System on your GMC:
If your car equipped with ignition button, press and hold the Start/Stop button for 5 seconds without touch the brake pedal
The button is located on the steering wheel
Press the Thumbwheel button to select
Select the desired option
Done!
