2007-2012 GMC Canyon TPMS Light Low Tire Pressure System Reset – Chevrolet Colorado and his fellow GMC Canyon are mid-size pickups manufactured by Chevrolet and GMC, respectively, since 2004 and replacing the compact Chevrolet S-10 and GMC Sonoma pickups. Isuzu, who took part in the design of the pickup truck, began production of their car, called the i-Series, at the end of 2005.
Colorado / Canyon had automatic or mechanical transmissions, as well as rear-wheel or four-wheel drive and three types of cabs: the usual 2-door, extended 2-door, and extended 4-door. The cars as standard were equipped with a 2.8-liter inline-four but had access to the optional Z71 package with a 3.8-liter engine, which was fitted with a 4-speed automatic. This package later disappeared and was replaced by LT2 and LT3 trim levels.
Time needed: 17 minutes
If you replaced a wheel, tire, TPMS sensor, etc. and are now getting a warning light on your car, then the sensor needs to be reset. Follow the instructions below to reset the Tire Pressure Sensor Light on your GMC Canyon:
If your car equipped with ignition button, press and hold the Start/Stop button for 5 seconds without touch the brake pedal
The horn will sound twice indicates the receiver is in relearn mode
A horn chirp confirms that the sensor identification code has been matched to this tire and wheel position.
If the DIC LOW TIRE messages disappear on the display after the final process (Left Rear Tire), the TPMS relearn process has been successful.
Press the Start/Stop button once
Done!
This tutorial is based on the GMC owner’s manual. This procedure should apply to the first generation of GMC Canyon (2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 model years). Hopefully, the article 2007-2012 GMC Canyon TPMS Light Low Tire Pressure System Reset can solve your problem. Good Luck!
