2007-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis TPMS Light Tire Pressure Reset

2007-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis TPMS Light Tire Pressure Reset – The Grand Marquis is a full-size rear-wheel-drive luxury car produced by Mercury from 1983 to 2011. After five years in which it remained almost unchanged, the Grand Marquis was updated in 2003. In 2007 the “Palm Beach” package was introduced, which was offered in the LS set-up.

In the 2008 model year, the Ford Crown Victoria was sold exclusively to companies to be used as a company car and therefore the Grand Marquis no longer had direct competitors, at least for its price range. In 2010, the Grand Marquis overcame a milestone, setting the vehicle Mercury records produced for longer. The Grand Marquis in fact, with 35 years of “seniority”, surpassed the Cougar in this ranking.

If you receive a low-tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light while driving and you want to clear or turning off the warning light on your 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis, follow these instructions:

  • Make sure the vehicle is at a complete stop

  2. Press and release the brake pedal.

  3. Turn the ignition from OFF to ON position three (3) times ending in the on position without starting the engine.

If your car has a Smart key button, press once to turn on, then press again to put the vehicle into ACC mode, then press again to turn the vehicle off. Repeat 2 more times, ending in ACC mode.

  4. Press the brake pedal again for 2 seconds, then release.

  5. Turn the ignition to OFF position (DO NOT remove the key)

  6. Turn the ignition from OFF to ON position three (3) times ending in the on position without starting the engine.

  7. If the reset mode has been entered successfully, the horn will sound once.

  8. Starting from the driver’s side front tire, place the relearn tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor.

  9. Repeat the procedure on the right-front tire, the right rear tire, and the last one left rear tire.

  10. A horn chirp confirms that the sensor identification code has been matched to this tire and wheel position.

  11. After hearing the confirming horn chirp for the left rear tire, training is completed and a message is shown in the information display. Turn ignition to OFF position. Adjust all tires to pressure listed on the tire placard.

This tutorial is based on the Mercury owner’s manual. This procedure should be work on the latest generation of Mercury Grand Marquis (2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 model years). Hopefully, the article of 2007-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis TPMS Light Tire Pressure Reset useful for you. Good Luck!
