2000-2007 Dodge Dakota Timing Marks Diagram (4.7 L Engine) – The Dodge Dakota, then renamed briefly as Ram Dakota, was a medium-sized pick-up truck, produced by the American manufacturer Chrysler initially for the Dodge brand and from 2011 for the new commercial vehicle division Ram, created by Chrysler as a Dodge decision. This truck was introduced in the US market under the name Dodge Dakota from 1986, along with the redesign of the Dodge Ram 50.

Due to its design, the Dakota was framed in an intermediate position between compact-sized trucks (Ford Ranger, Chevrolet S-10 / GMC Sonoma) and full-size trucks (Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Nissan Titan, Toyota Tundra, Lincoln Mark LT and Dodge’s own ex-line Ram). It is a conventional design with the body-on-frame construction and spring on the rear axle.
