Subaru Impreza Timing Marks Diagram (2.5L DOHC EJ Engine) – The Subaru Impreza is a compact sedan produced by the Japanese manufacturer Subaru, exit off the production lines for the first time in 1992 and arrived today in its third generation. In 1992, the Impreza was called to replace the now obsolete Subaru Leone, which had maintained despite the presence on the international market for over 20 years. Similarly, it was designed with an eye to the world of ballistic competitions, in which it should have replaced the larger and heavier Subaru Legacy.

By Legacy, the Impreza has undergone inherited the new range of engines called EJ, which replaced the old EA engines. The basic mechanical architecture is the usual home Subaru: longitudinal boxer engine and all-wheel drive (front or on some base models), MacPherson front suspension and rear articulated quadrilateral. These solutions allow to Impreza to have a symmetrical arrangement of the mechanical parts and a very low center of gravity. This means less roll, the lower the “steering torque”, less vibration by the motor (which does not need a balancer).
